At G+S, we are committed to our community. It’s where we live with our own families, after all, and we believe in giving back to the friends, neighbors, and customers who have done so much for us. Here are a few of the ways we have stay involved in the local Kannapolis community here at G+S.
In 2013, G+S donated all the time and equipment for building a Habitat for Humanity house nearby. We were honored to serve the community and give someone a comfortable home just like any other homeowner. You can see some pictures from the project below:
At G+S, we believe that community service also involves leadership. That’s why Robert Kanofsky has served in the past as the President of the Kannapolis Business Alliance, an organization of local businesses. He is also a member of the Kannapolis Rotary, serving as its President for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 Rotary years. Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Where G+S sponsors local youth soccer and volleyball teams along with supporting the Y Academy which provides a safe supportive location for children to attend virtual school or after school care while their parents have to work.
The Kannapolis Education Foundation was established in 1994 for the purpose of receiving donations to enhance the educational programs at Kannapolis City Schools. The goal of the foundation is to provide educational resources to KCS students and teachers, focusing heavily on additional technology and advanced STEM equipment to prepare KCS students for successful careers in the 21st century.
