Giving Thanks – A Look at G+S’ History

G+S Heating Air Energy Services has been the region’s go-to for all things HVAC related for over six decades. Take a look at their history, and you’ll see why so many locals give thanks for having them available when they need them.

How it All Began

In 1959, Jack Goodnight and Craig Satterwhite (the G and S in G+S) started G+S Metal, an HVAC company focused on exceptional customer service. This included in-house fabrication of all of the metal ductwork they used in their HVAC installation. Their slogan since day one has been “Honest. Fair. Reliable. Since 1959.” Ask any of their customers and they’ll tell you they still stand by that.

Where They Are Now

In 2010, ownership of G+S transitioned to Robert and Camille Kanofsky. While the company’s mission and focus stay the same, they updated the name to more accurately reflect the services provided to Kannapolis and the surrounding areas. Now known as G+S Heating Air Energy Services, the commitment to customer service and quality products and quality remains the same.

Commitment to Community

The long-term commitment to their customers extends to the communities where G+S operates. They spend time and money giving back. In addition to Robert being a member, and current President, of the Kannapolis Rotary club these are some of the organizations they sponsor or contribute to:

  • Habitat for Humanity
  • YMCA youth sports leagues
  • Kannapolis Education Foundation
  • FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team sponsorships

With more than half a century in the area and a proven history of customer service and community involvement, G+S Heating Air Energy Services is the HVAC company you can rely on. Contact them today for all of your heating and cooling needs.
